Our Boarding School Campus
The Boise Girls Academy campus resides on 3 acres of land in Boise, Idaho, located near the Boise River and nestled against foothills of the Rocky Mountains. As well as being the largest metropolitan area in Idaho, Boise enjoys great scenery, many natural resources, and year-round outdoor activities. In addition, Boise consistently lands on national “best places” lists for families, businesses and recreation year after year.
Our 6,000 sq. ft. facility building houses the dining room, kitchen, student dorm, student restroom, classroom, rec room, prayer room, counseling offices, staff apartments, and administrative offices. Our campus also features a deck, running track, volleyball court, and garden.
Our students live in one dormitory with 10 girls per room, 2 rooms total. All students are assigned to a bunk bed and wardrobe. Students share a dorm restroom with cultured marble shower stalls and granite countertops. Our residential direct-care staff live in the staff apartments, also located in the dorm.
Counseling is a vital part of the mentoring that takes place at Boise Girls Academy. Our counseling areas are located in rooms with sunny, beautiful views of the foothills.
Because of our proximity to beautiful mountain surroundings, Boise Girls Academy enjoys many outdoor activities from skiing at Bogus Basin Ski Resort to walking on the Boise River Greenbelt to boating at nearby reservoirs. The Boise area has it all – desert, rivers, mountains and lakes for hiking, camping, kayaking, river rafting, and fishing.
Weather in Boise is great! We enjoy four distinct seasons with hot, dry summers, mild springs and falls, and winters with little snowfall. Our climate is considered semi-arid.
There are also several shopping centers, restaurants, museums, and parks nearby. Boise is also home to Boise State University and we have the opportunity to attend various BSU sporting events. Go Broncos!
