Our Boarding School Campus
The Boise Girls Academy campus resides on 3 acres of land in Boise, Idaho, located near the Boise River and nestled against foothills of the Rocky Mountains. As well as being the largest metropolitan area in Idaho, Boise enjoys great scenery, many natural resources, and year-round outdoor activities. In addition, Boise consistently lands on national “best places” lists for families, businesses and recreation year after year.
We also have a 8,000 sq. ft. Rec Center on campus. We are still in the process of remodeling this building, but it currently has several rooms and large spaces that we are using for activities. The rooms that have been created at this time are: library, music room, arts and crafts room, exercise room, game room, as well as some large spaces for movie nights and other special activities.
Our students live in one dormitory with 20 girls. All students are assigned to a bunk bed and will share a wardrobe with one other student. Our residential direct-care staff live in the staff apartments, located in the same wing as the dorm.
Because of our proximity to beautiful mountain surroundings, Boise Girls Academy enjoys many outdoor activities from hiking in our many mountain trails to walking on the Boise River Greenbelt to boating at nearby reservoirs. The Boise area has it all – desert, rivers, mountains and lakes for hiking, camping, kayaking, river rafting, and fishing.
Weather in Boise is great! We enjoy four distinct seasons with hot, dry summers, mild springs and falls, and winters with little snowfall. Our climate is considered semi-arid.
There are also several shopping centers, restaurants, museums, and parks nearby. Boise is also home to Boise State University and we have the opportunity to attend various BSU sporting events. Go Broncos!
